Apartment for rent from € 85/day in MadridName/Address:
Highlights as the "scarlet royal" master bedroom, a black marbled fireplace, crowned by a Venetian rounded mirror over Belgian wallpaper. The huge closet dates from 1930, from an antique store.
LOCATION is privileged: on a quiet street behind Madrid's central art deco avenue GRAN VIA. ROYAL PALACE is just 5 minutes walk, and metro station Plaza de España 1 min away. Callao Square and "Schweppes landmark" are just up the street.
My grandfather owned one of the finest fabric industries in Madrid. We selected a vivid indigo blue velvet for the cute armchair, and orange for the couch.
The master bedroom, with also 3.5m high ceilings, has a queen size bed, a stunning red headboard from the same fabrics, on a silver painted wall. And a wardrobe with drawers. You will have a royal sleep in this bedroom.
Large table enabling sitting room for 4 people. Above it, check the 1940's oval mirrors, and a hand printed small photography gallery from Laos, India, and China.
It feels spacious for up to 4 people because of its 3.5m high ceilings, 2 sofas (3 seater and 2 seater), large dining table for 4, and 2 large wardrobes.
Both beds are separated from each other, and bedroom has a door. Second bed is a sleeper sofa for 2 people in the living, and an extra air bed if needed.

Gran Via embodies a century of Madrid's history. You will find large cinemas halls, elegant hotels, and lots of grand art deco architecture along this vibrant avenue.
At the other side of Gran Via, take a walk through the bohemian barrio of Triball, the newest area with cool restaurants, independent boutiques and stylish bars (former local business as drycleaners, or fish markets).
Around Templo Debod, a cute and small real Egyptian temple, mix with Madrileños who gather every sunset on the gardens. At one side of Plaza España find up to 4 different cinemas. "El Plaza" is one of my favourite live music spots in the city.
Near by is the Royal Palace, from XVIII century, a "must go" in Madrid. Sabatini Royal Gardens are a release from the centre. Royal Theatre and its pedestrian square "Opera" is another popular spot with street artists.
Finally, Conde Duque Art and Music Centre holds excellent shows and music venues year round, on a XVIII century refurbished military caserne. It is now a gorgeous modern architecture space.
