This modern holiday house offers plenty of space for 8 people and is set among the meadows of Eibergen just a stone's throw from the German border. The holiday house has a spacious living room with an open fireplace and a large dining table so the whole group can enjoy a meal together. Kids can let loose on the trampoline in the enormous garden. Zwillbröcker Venn, a wetland preserve where you can spot flamingos from April to July, is less than 4 km from the house. The 'flamingo route' is a bicycle trail that runs alongside the marshlands and heaths and past the flamingo colony. The varied landscapes of this part of the Achterhoek region make it a very desirable destination for hikers and cyclists. You can hire a canoe to explore the area and row the Berkel river, or catch a ride on the Berkelzomp, a historic flat-bottomed boat. This route will take you past the Mallumse watermill, which you can also visit on Saturday afternoons. For wine lovers, a visit to one of the Achterhoek's vineyards is a must. In addition to tasting the different wines, you can also see how the wine is artisanally crafted.
