The studio apartment measures 36 sqm. It is composed of the main room, a kitchenette and a bathroom. Internet Wi-Fi and A/C included
The studio has been fully renovated and refurbished quite recently. It is located at three minutes' walking distance from the Biennale. Sunny, calm, pleasant location, viewing a quiet canal. Castello is a very quiet and typical venetian area, and one of the best locations in Castello is Via Garibaldi. The studio is located exactly at mid-distance between Riva dei sette Martiri and San Pietro di Castello. It is an ideal location for the Biennale, very close to the Giardini as well as the Arsenale. Riva dei Sette Martiri one of the most sunny, pleasant places to be in Venice, with amazing views. Via Garibaldi itself has all the shops, restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket nearby, pastry shops, fruits and vegetables sold off a boat, fish market, pharmacy, banks, etc.
Inside the apartment there are a double bed and unfolding sofa bed.
Upon arrival at the apartment we have to request the Venice Municipality tax (called "Tassa di Soggiorno"), newly established for private apartments, which is 1.5 eur per person per day, payable in cash. We will give you a separate receipt for this.?
- "Marc's place was an awesome place to stay. You are away from all the tourist activities and noise, but yet only about an 8 minute ride on the ferry to the middle of it all. You are right on the waterway. There is a bakery and grocery store less then a minute walk. There is a fish and produce market that opens during the morning hours about 2 minutes away. We slept with the window open and it was cool enough during our stay. We keep the house in the States very cool at night and thought this may be a concern, but it was cool enough for us during the end of September. There is also a fan in the apartment. Communications via email and phone calls were great. We had trouble finding parking on the main land due to construction in the area and finally decided to drive onto the island itself and park for 21$EU per day at Marc's mom's suggestion and it worked out best. Took the water ferry and was walked through it all by Marc's mom. I would recommend Marc's place. It's very simple, very nice and a good location. At night around 10pm, they roll up the streets. There are a couple of restaurants that stay open until 2am within a 5 minute walk. Thanks for everything Marc!"
- "The studio was great! It was very clean and had all the amenities one might need! My friend and I really enjoyed being far away from the main hub of the tourists and being with the locals. It was especially fantastic because we were in Venice for the Biennale which was very close. I would definitely stay at Castello Studio again!"
-"Great little studio in Venice! We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It's right on the canal, in a nice little local neighborhood an easy 20 min walk from all the big attractions in Venice (or 5 min vaperetto ride). Nice to have a place to cook and call home while in a foreign city. Also, if you are into people watching, the two-way mirrored windows allow for very fun observation of life in Venice!"
