In the eastern part of Umbria, not far from the border with Marche and on the edge of Monti Sibillini Natural Park lies the estate with a castle and a few old farmhouses. The strategically located castle served in the Middle Ages as a defence for the town of Spoleto against attacks from Marche.
This apartment is located in a former farmer's residence, that lies closest to the castle. A robust stone staircase from the lawn leads to this apartment on the first floor. The spacious, live-in kitchen is furnished with terra-cotta flooring and wooden furniture. You can enjoy sitting out in front of the home, but it's also quite nice relaxing by the pool. Soak up some sun on one of the loungers and take a break for a refreshing dip every now and then.
Shops are located in Sellano, at 8 kilometres distance. Centuries-old mountain villages lie all around the castle, only accessible by winding roads. The stunning national park, Monti Sibillini, practically begs you to come take fantastic hikes along its idyllic lakes and rugged mountaintops. Or drive through the park toward Marche and enjoy the natural beauty of both Umbria and Marche.
