A beautifully restored holiday house with fine views situated in central Hungary.Situated just outside a quiet village, this traditional farmer’s dwelling provides relaxing accommodation and an excellent base for exploring Hungary’s Great Plain (Alföld).
The cottage, known locally as a tanya, was built in the 1930s using traditional methods: thick cob walls (mud & straw), whitewashed, heavy timbers and a thatched roof ensure the building is solid and well insulated. Set in over 5,000 m2 of private garden, bordered by fields and grazing land, the cottage is entirely self-contained and private. There are fine views across the surrounding farmland and over the famous Kiskunság National Park.
The single story cottage has been recently modernised, using local materials where possible, to create a clean and simple interior. Above average size rooms well furnished in traditional style, make the house a relaxing environment.
