We have free wifi and we provide for your stay clean and top quality linens and towels and all basic essentials such as shampoo, soaps, spices ‘n’ herbs, salt and pepper and much more just to ease your short stay or for the first days of a longer booking at our home. We also have various books and some board games for you and for the ones who can’t do without it, a flat tv in the living room.
Just a tip for you: First of all… Keep the tv off. After your trip to the nearby beach, cut a fresh and juicy cold watermelon in slices, fill a couple of shot glasses with some freezing cold raki and have a siesta at our front yard listening to the cicadas. Sometimes, simple things are hard to get and may last forever if done right. :)
Our home is located at Kamisiana, a picturesque typical little Cretan village, where you will have the chance to be emerged to the typical life of the locals, drink coffee with them at the traditional cafe of the village square, meet beautiful people, listen to their stories and if they like you enough rest sure that they will invite you for dinner or a “raki” at their home.
Local products (honey - wine - oil - herbs) are located within walking distance from local producers. The unsurpassed Greek Summer here lasts for approximately 9 months (March - November). Migratory birds and lazy cicadas will enrich your stay here and make sure that all your senses are satisfied.
If you feel like exploring, there are many beautiful routes to follow by foot or bike around the village. Also the fisherman village of Kolympari on a very short distance of just a mere couple of kilometers. There are many beaches around on a more or less 5 min. Walking distance. If you have a car, something we strongly recommend if you feel like exploring the so many different beauties of the western part of Crete, you can visit the nearby village of Kissamos from where you will be able to get on the boat that takes you to Balos sea lagoon or continue further to the west to reach the gorgeous beach of Falasarna.
