Villa for rent from € 110/day in ChaniaName/Address:
The house is perfect for summer vacations and relaxation after a day on the beach when the sweet tiredness hits your body. The breathtaking wilderness of Crete, the hot Sun and the salt of our beautiful and crystal clear sea water are marvelous but altogether have their toll on your energy levels. Nothing better than a place to rest after a day exploring the unique locations around the house.
Because of the stone walls the house is cool during summer and there is nothing better than a cool shower after the beach, a meal prepared with local ingredients bought from local shops and organic materials and a glass of wine, late at night, at the balcony of the house, listening to the sounds of the night and the sea waves from the distance.
Of course the house is fully equied with all necessary stuff. It has a kitchenette, dining room, washing machine, air condition, a small tv that i really wonder why people would want to use it...
- Go to the beach people and explore. There is ridiculous beauty around and I can give you directions to some amazing locations!
It also has an ornamental traditional fireplace, which in the old days was used for cooking. Not nowadays since it smokes the place and it's a mess to clean it up.
-But just for an historical background, not many years ago, people used to fire it up to warm the house, cook food (you can't even imagine how gorgeous the food is cooked that way), smoke ham, dry herbs and of course warm themselves after a full day working.
It is located just a few minutes of walk away from the sea, in a quiet place with no traffic or some traffic if you happen to visit during July and August but nothing to worry about.
- There are no drunk British teenagers around. No offense to my beloved British people. I love them.
It is the perfect place for relaxation and located at a strategic point for exploring other areas nearby as the world known beaches of Balos and Falasarna and many more.
- Guide of the area is sent to my guest's email after booking
The beach that you can find in a couple of minutes walk from the house is sandy and pebbly in places, an ideal choice for a morning wake-up swim, especially when it is not windy. It is very clean and has all the basic touristic amenities nearby. You will find umbrellas, showers and a lifeguard tower
- Although it has all the basic amenities of an organised beach it is not crowded and full of roaming tourists yet and hopefully it stays that way for many years to come.
Rapaniana and its surrounding beaches are breeding points for the protected turtle caretta-caretta so please if you happen to find small wire fences on the beach please do not touch them. They are there to protect baby turtles so they can grow up and have fun swimming at the oceans so they can come back and give birth at the same place where they were born. Marvelous little creatures...
In the village you will find mini markets, restaurants, health center, pharmacy, dentist, post office, bank, etc. Basically all you will need for equipping yourselves and buying stuff for preparing your own meals or eating out all day long if you prefer it that way.
Some minutes away by car you can find the port of Kolimpari where you can enjoy an excellent meal of fresh fish in one of the numerous taverns or enjoy your coffee or beverage in front of the sea and under the sun. It's a beautiful place really. Fishermen come and go every day early in the morning to fish at the bay. If you are lucky you may become friends with some fishermen and if you ask politely they may take you out on their boat to pickup the nets and hooks. Amazing unforgettable experience!
There are many traditional villages you can visit nearby. Just to mention some: Afrata, Ravdoucha, Kolimpari and of course the world known beach of Balos and Gramvousa and many more.
- You can expect from me an online guide that will cover almost everything literally. From ways to reach the house, checkin/out times, nearby locations, where to eat, drink and places to visit. You will be covered. No worries.
I live at this place most winters so I would really appreciate if you show the same respect to the house as I do. Please, before you leave, leave the house clean and tidy, the same way you found it. You are not obliged of cou
