Our home is situated 10 minutes from the friendly city of North Bay on the shores of beautiful Trout Lake. We have over 1500 sq. ft. of living space that has just been totally renovated. The apartment is on the ground floor just steps from the water. The apartment is very private and quiet although we occasionally have our little grandson over for a visit.

THE SPACE: it was once a small summer cottage until the owners decided to make it their permanent home and underwent a giant renovation. There are remnants of the cottage feeling such as large wooden ceiling beams. This renovation allowed the house to remain unusually close to the shoreline compared to other houses nearby. The view is stunning as the open lake rounds a bend and channels towards the skinny piece of road that makes the land a peninsula. In the winter snowmobiles and snowshoers pass by the house regularly and in the summer it's a hub for boats heading to the local restaurant and watering hole downstream.

GUEST ACCESS: Entire downstairs of spacious house. There are 3 bedrooms with dressers and closets. The aparment has a living room with seating for 6, a dining room, desk, ultra modern kitchen with high end appliances and granite countertops, a full bathroom, and shared laundry. It is a separate contained ground floor apartment with a parking area, lawn, lakefront, dock and garden. The living room exits through a garden door to a covered back deck with a seating area in summer. 

HOUSE RULES: We take pride in our home. When you arrive it will be spotless. We do expect you to respect our home and leave it in the condition that you found it. We do not have any pets and would prefer a pet free environment, although we love animals. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the home. This is a quiet residential area, so no loud parties.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOS: Our home is situated just off HWY 63. It is 1 km in on West Peninsula, which is a quiet, dead end street. The neighbours are friendly and are often walking along the road. There are several hiking trails across the road and cross country ski club nearby, with downhill skiing in the city. The street is a long winding treelined road with natural forest and rock faces on one side and houses with lakefront on the other. There is plenty of space and the air is fresh and clean. The serenity of nature is the beauty of this location. There is room to park 2 cars. A vehicle is necessary as there is no public transportation. We are also accessible by boat and on the snowmobile trail system.
