We are an outgoing couple in our early fifties who have been doing this Vacation Rental for over five years now and love meeting people from all over the world as well as traveling ourselves.
We are located on a quiet street with beautiful heritage homes all around. It is a completely separate, private, whole self contained suite / apt. There are wonderful heated floors throughout and it's surrounded by a lush West coast garden and a real rustic flower bed just outside the front window.
The living Room has a large window making it very bright with a comfy sofa , but it's (not a sofa bed so it does not fold out or pull out into a bed) After a long day of sightseeing relax if you like and watch the TV with 50 odd cable channels and a DVD player with 30ish DVD's. Free wireless high speed internet is included
The big fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, French press (Bodum), and toaster. Dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, spices, oil, tea, coffee, flour and other odds and sods of useful kitchen items to make yourself at home and cook your own meals instead of having to eat out all the time.
Complimentary coffee and tea is provided.
The bedroom has a Queen bed and is just off the living room through the lovely french doors which have curtains inside if you want a bit more privacy. It's cozy with the heated floors and comes with luxurious linens, a full closet and dresser for your clothes, and umbrella, iron & ironing board.
It is a full bathroom (shower and tub),with towels, shampoo, all toiletries, hairdryer, curling iron etc.
We are a 5 min. walk to the new upcoming East Village or Hastings Sunrise area, also on a bigger scale called Grandview Woodlands. People come from all over to go to Donald's Market which is only a 5 min walk away and has the best produce, and other regular & organic foods, and also has some yummy take out food. The Red Wagon Cafe is right by Donald's and has become a real hotspot for breakfast. Bosa Italian Foods is a block away and they carry European specialties like cheese, meats, bread, pasta, sauces, olives and other delicious deli items. They will even make fresh sandwiches for you. The PNE is a 10-15 min. walk away and is Vancouver's amusement park. It has rides, food and concerts most of the Summer, and also has some beautiful ponds and walking trails. Templeton School is just around the corner and has a gym, pool, hot tub, outdoor track & tennis courts. It's a 5 min walk to Commercial Drive. The drive is an eclectic, vibrant, and diverse mix of People and cultures. There you will find food, pubs, shopping, theaters, Gelato shops, and deli's.
The best coffee shops in Vancouver started by old Italian families, on Commercial Drive, like, Continental Coffee, Calabria, and a bunch of others. There is a new one close to the Suite called Flavio on Hastings.
